25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Shandra Powell, conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection on 06/03/2022. LPA met with Licensee, Karina Torres. LPA observed 9 children with 2 Assistants. Licensee stated herself, husband and daughter (preschooler) reside in the home. All adults present, residing, working and/or volunteering in the home have a criminal record clearance or exemption. LPA toured the inside and outside of the home. The home is a one story with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a living room (Childcare Room), dining room (Office) kitchen, pantry and laundry room located in kitchen. Home has a detached garage on the premises. which has been turned into an Office. The garage has a storage space attached to it with a door. The primary childcare area is in the living room at the entrance of the home there is a child safety gate placed in front of the living room entrance. The children also utilize the bathroom, located off of bedroom #3 in the back of the home. The dining room is used as a walk through for children to enter kitchen to hallway when needed. Bedrooms #1 and #2 , Bathrooms #1 and #2 and garage are off limits. Bedrooms are made inaccessible by closed and locked doors during operation hours. Children in care eat at outdoor tables in the front of the home which is covered. LPA observe a fireplace blocked off with plywood made inaccessible to children in care. Per Licensee the fireplace is inoperable.
The home was inspected for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children. Page 1
