Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Maddox met with Anna Shaterkin, Operations Director who guided this LPA on a tour of the facility. Facility is currently licensed for 30 school-age children, Licensee is requesting to increase the capacity to 60.
This center provides physical activities to be rotated in primarily 4 areas of the gym (excluding bathrooms and the outside play area), the types of activities include mixed martial arts, fitness classes, yoga, etc.
The following were the measurements for the record:
Room A (located next to the office)
11.92 X 12.38= 153/75 = 4
Room B (located down the hall from the office)
15.42 X 20 = 308/35 = 9
Room C (according to facility sketch)
28.67 X 34.83 = 998/35 = 28
Room D (according to facility sketch)
56.50 X 27.42 = 1293/35 = 37
Total Indoor Space = 2753/35 = 78

There are 2 bathrooms (Girls and Boys) designated for SA children

There is no designated outdoor space, however, Licensee was approved to set up cones at the entrance of the building to limit access to this space and to utilize it as outdoor space. The outdoor space was measured to be 30 x 16 + 68.5 x 45.11 = 480 +3090.35 = 3570.035 sq. ft. Divided by 75, it will allow the capacity of 47 children.

A waiver will be required due to insufficient space for 60 children. LPA provided Anna with a sample of how the waiver request should be presented, also, information for Director Qualifications.

Fire Clearance has been received for the requested capacity of 60 SA children.
