On 08/02/2019, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Miriam Cohen arrived at Joyful Land Preschool, 197419803 located at 25500 S. Vermont Avenue, Harbor City, CA 90710 to conduct a scheduled Case Management inspection for the purpose of considering an increase capacity to existing Toddler Option associated with the Preschool license. Upon arrival, LPA Cohen met with Sun Ko, Preschool Director, who guided the analyst on a tour of the facility. All areas identified on the facility sketch were inspected. There will be no changes in the size of the room and number of toilets and sinks. The classrooms were inspected for safety, comfort, cleanliness, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children. The First Aid kit was observed in each classroom. set on a shelf. There are age appropriate toys and equipment on the premises. The required fire extinguisher (2A10BC) and smoke detectors are in operable condition. LPA observed licensee's current Pediatric CPR and Pediatric First Aid certificates. The Preschool has a disaster plan and demonstrated control of property which remains on file in the El Segundo Child Care Regional Office as initially licensed.

LPA Cohen obtained the following documentation:
*Updated application form reflecting the request for increased capacity of Toddler Option.
*Updated facility sketches, indoor and outdoor components
*Daily Schedule Activities for Preschool and Toddler components

There appears to have no corrections necessary therefore, request for increase capacity for Toddler Option is recommended.

An exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report was discussed and issued to preschool director, Sun Ko.
