25 | On 03/07/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Adrian Risher conducted a 3 Year Required Inspection. LPA provided Licensee with the purpose of the visit and was granted access to the facility. LPA met with Theres Martin, Licensee. LPA toured the inside and outside of the property with the Licensee. LPA observed the home to be clean, safe, orderly and well ventilated. There was 2 children present at the time of the inspection. The operating hours are Monday thru Friday 7:15am to 6:30pm.
LPA observed the single family home to have a Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, Day room, 3 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms. The Licensee utilizes the day room and bathroom 1 areas as the day-care. The rest of the home is inaccessible to the children. The day care room is used for daily activities, eating and napping. LPA observed cots and play pens that are used for napping. The isolation area is the office area in the day-care room. Parents enter the daycare from a side gate which located on the left side of the home through the driveway. LPA observed a safety gate at the top of the stairs in the daycare room.
Licensee states that there are no weapons in the home. Licensee reports that there are 2 dogs and 1 turtle in the home. The dogs stay in a bedroom that is locked and inaccessible to children in care.
The kitchen and bathroom areas were inspected for proper storage of chemicals, detergents, cleaning compounds, medications and sharp pointed objects. These items were made inaccessible to children. Kitchen and bathroom cabinets were made inaccessible to children in care. Cleaning supplies are stored underneath the sink in the kitchen with a safety lock attached. LPA observed a safety gate at the entrance of the kitchen.
LPA observed electrical outlets with protective covers.
