25 | On 2/23/2023 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Suzette Ornelas conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection and was met by Licensee, RADERMAN, VANESSA. Also present were Licensees 3 Assistants. Days and hours of operation are Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9a -2pm and Tuesday and Thursday 9a-4p.
LPA toured the home inside and outside and a census was taken. LPA observed 6 children in care. Capacity as specified on the license is being maintained. Current facility sketch reviewed and all areas identified on the facility sketch were inspected. Licensee's home is a one story dwelling with 3 bedrooms and, 3 bathrooms. Facility sketch was updated to show that the front yard is now off limits and the playroom inside the home has also been made off limits. LPA obtained an updated LIC279 along with the LIC999. Children in care have access to the bathroom located near the back entrance of the home and sink located in the backyard deck area. There is a recreational room in the backyard that kids use for indoor activities. Licensee was reminded that no sleeping/eating is allowed in this room. The recreational room opens to a covered outdoor space where the children eat. All other rooms in the home are off-limits and made inaccessible by use of supervision, child proof gate and closed cabinets/doors. Children have access to the back yard for activities. The Fire Extinguishers (2A-10-BC) is mounted on the wall in the recreational room. LPA reminded licensee to ensure the fire extinguisher is replaced or serviced yearly and that proof of purchase is kept readily available. There is a working smoke/carbon monoxide detector located in the recreational room and inside of the home. The required carbon monoxide detectors and smoke detectors are in operable condition.
The home was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children. The First Aid kit was observed and complete. Per LIS the facility annual fees were not current; however, LPA provided licensee with past due payment information including PIN to ensure annual fees are paid and maintained current. The facility roster was observed, and current.
