32 | rough manner. The Director and Owner both stated that nothing of such has ever happened at the facility. The interaction between staff and children were described to be friendly, professional and age appropriate. In-service trainings are conducted with staff monthly, to ensure that personal rights of children are not violated. Regarding the allegation of staff are commingling day care children, the Director and Owner both stated that Toddlers and Preschool children commingle only in the mornings, during drop off time (for 30 minutes) and in the late afternoons, during pick up time (for 30 minutes). The facility was granted a waiver on 1/29/2018, allowing rotation of outdoor playtime with the Toddlers and Preschool children. The facility also has a plan in place how children are supervised during drop off and pick up times, ensuring the facility is in compliance with staffing ratios and providing supervision to children at all times.
During the interview with staff, staff made no disclosures about staff handling a day-care child in a rough manner and denied the allegation to be true. Regarding the allegation of staff are commingling day-care children, the statements obtained from staff were consistent and corroborated with the statements obtained from the Director and Owner.
During the interview with children, children did not present concerns regarding the interaction between staff and children were happy with the care provided by staff.
Parents interviewed did not present concerns related to the above-mentioned allegations and were pleased with the services and care being provided to their children.
Based on the investigation conducted, there is insufficient evidence to support the above-mentioned allegations to be true. Therefore, although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegations are Unsubstantiated.
The Notice of Site Visit was provided and must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a civil penalty of $100.00.
