Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), V. Wheatley and conducted an annual inspection and met with the Director, Michelle Nance at 10am. LPA observed 5 infants supervised properly by Teacher #1 and #2 inside of the infant classroom. LPA inspected the facility according to the facility sketch. The licensee, Mr. Jones arrived during the inspection.

Furniture and equipment was inspected for age appropriateness and good repair. The telephone service, heating, lighting, and ventilation is adequate. The facility has central heating and air conditioning. There are cubbies for infant's clothing and separate for diapers. LPA observed age appropriate toys. LPA later observed infants napping in cribs. The Safe Sleep brochure is posted. There are no items in the cribs. The facility has child proof electrical outlets and the plug in outlets as well making the outlets double secured. trash bins with lids. Children are inspected for illnesses as they arrive. A review of medication policy indicated that medication is administered with parents permission and doctor's authorization. There are no children enrolled receiving Incident Medical Services at this time. There is a separate area for isolation and care of ill children in the director's office. There is a first aid kit on the premises.

Outdoor equipment was inspected for health, safety, cushioning material, good material, and age appropriateness. LPA observed the outdoor area in the front of the building. The yard is clean and safe. The drinking water is taken outside when children play. There are no bodies of water on the premises.

LPA inspected the diaper changing area. The staff will use the sink for diaper changing only. Used bottles and food will be taken to the kitchen in a plastic container. LPA observed a door that is used from the napping room to get to the kitchen. LPA observed a fully equipped kitchen. There is a refrigerator for child's formula. LPA observed the items labeled with children's names. LPA observed the chemicals separate from the food. LPA observed a needs and services plan for each infant.

Teacher child ratios were observed and staff names recorded. All staff members are fingerprint cleared. Care and supervision was evaluated to determine if the basic needs of children are met and appropriate. Staff were questioned to establish their familiarity of emergency reporting requirements, emergency disaster plans and other site operations. Fire drills or earthquake drill are held once a month and logged. Personal rights of children were discussed. Staff were reminded children are to be supervised at all times.

Sign in and out sheets were reviewed and complete. The infants are not transported off the premises for field trips.

Children and staff records were reviewed at 12:30PM which are complete. The staff have current CPR/first aid certification which expires June 2021 and July 2021. The staff have required immunization records and have completed the Mandated Child Abuse Training. Child Care Quarterly updates may be obtained at the department's website www.ccld.ca.gov.
