On 08/11/2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Justeene Tamayo met with licensee Jennifer Thomason for the purpose of concluding the investigation concerning the above complaint allegations. LPA toured the facility and observed 3 infants and 7 preschool children in care, along with 2 assistants and the licensee.

The investigation consisted of interviews with staff, children, and other complaint relevant parties including the review of supportive documentation.During interviews with staff and children, it was revealed that licensee currently lives at the home. LPA observed clothes and personal belongings upstairs in off-limits area.

LPA Tamayo observed the required licensing forms for children enrolled. From interviews with staff members and parents, it was revealed day care children do not go to different locations for childcare.

Based on interviews conducted, there is not enough evidence or witnesses to corroborate the above allegations, therefore, the allegations is rendered Unsubstantiated at this time. Licensee was informed that if the Department obtains additional evidence to prove the allegations occurred, the complaint will be reopened, and the finding will be changed from unsubstantiated to substantiated.

A finding that the complaint is Unsubstantiated means that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged allegations occurred.

An exit interview was conducted, and a copy of this report was read and provided to the licensee on this date, along with a copy of her appeal rights and Notice of Site Visit.
