On 8/25/2020 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Silva Garibyan made an announced (due to COVID-19) visit to the above facility for the purposes of conducting a licensee initiated request to add five additional classrooms to the existing classrooms and two additional restrooms. These classrooms and restrooms are part of the elementary school and due to COVID the elementary school is closed. The preschool will be allowed to continue to operate. In order to allow as many possible children to safely attend school so that their parents can continue to work to support their families licensee is also requesting to extend their enrollment to children entering Kindergarten until the time when elementary schools are allowed to reopen. An approved fire clearance conducted 8/19/2020 by the L.A. City Fire Prevention Bureau is on file for a capacity of 112.
LPA met with Margaret Miller (director) and a tour of the facility was conducted. Current license includes seven classrooms ( A, B, C, D, E, F, G).
Measurements were taken as follows:

Classroom H : 34.9 x 23.9 = 834.11 sq. ft / 35 = 23 children
Classroom I : 31.4 x 22.1 = 693.94 sq. ft / 35 = 19 children
Classroom J: 30 x 22.7 = 681 sq. ft. / 35 = 19 children
Classroom K : 28 x 24.3 = 680.4 sq. ft. / 35 = 19 children
Classroom L : 29.9 x 24.3 = 726.57 sq. ft. / 35 = 20 children

The children will have access to two additional restrooms:

Girl's bathroom consists of 10 toilets and 4 sinks.
Boy's bathroom consists of 4 toilets, 3 urinals, and 4 sink.



A copy of this report will be emailed to the director as receipt and confirmation of the visit conducted on 8/25/2020. The document should be signed and returned to the regional office to be placed in the local facility file.

Observations and details of this report were discussed with director Margaret Miller, and an exit interview was concluded.
