25 | On 10/29/20 at 9am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Michael Avila conducted a tele-video CASE MANAGEMENT inspection via FaceTime (due to the COVID-19 State of Emergency). LPA Avila met with Director Drucilla Khansari regarding the request for increased capacity (request is to increase the school-age program capacity to 44). A virtual tour of the of the room was completed. The school-age room is located in the same building which has an infant and preschool program. The room (identified as the school-age room) was observed equipped with age appropriate furniture/toys. A playground is accessible via a door leading to the school-age yard. Shade is provide via an awning and trees. Age appropriate toys/equipment were observed on the yard. Water is available via a water fountains inside and outside the classroom with individual cups. The program has a total of 2 toilets and 4 sinks and one urinal which meets the requirement for 44 children.
The measurements for the school-age classroom measures out to 1,534 square feet for the room which allows for 43 school-age children. A Fire Clearance received on 10/21/2020 by the Los Angeles County Fire Department allows a total capacity of 149 children for the entire building.
The facility is licensed effective today,10/29/2020 for 43 children.
LPA Avila reviewed COVID-19 guidelines/resources with Director. Director informed LPA that they had previously completed a COVID-19 Technical Assistance tele-video inspection. LPA also reminded Lead Teacher to continue monitoring the CCLD website at www.ccld.ca.gov for updates.
