On August 25, 2021 at 2:20 pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Francisco Pedroza conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection. LPA contacted facility and conducted Covid screening questions prior to entering the facility. LPA met with facility Director Drucilla Khansari and advised her the purpose of the inspection. There was no children in care at the time of the inspection. The center operates from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday thru Friday. This is a combined center with infant and preschool programs.

Licensing required notices were posted prominently on the wall in the lobby. The facility is currently using one (1) classroom for care. There is two restrooms each with toilet and sink and one with a urinal accessible to children in care. The facility has cubbies mounted against the wall for each child. The classroom has age appropriate games, activities, and furniture available for children in care. LPA observed and reviewed the posted snack menu. The center provide a two snacks daily and lunch for children in care when they are not in school. The facility does provide transportation services from school to the facility. LPA observed required medications properly secured. The outdoor playground has age appropriate toys and equipment. The playground has an ample amount of shade available. The facility has water available for children inside and out. The facility has a clean water container filled with water. Children are provided small paper cups for water.

Center uses written sign-in/out logs at the entrance of the facility. A sampling of children and staff records were reviewed. Teachers have required qualifications. Teachers present have current Pediatric First Aid/CPR certificates that expire on 2/2/2022. Teachers present have current AB 1207 Mandated Reporter Training certificates that expire on 4/11/2022. LPA verified SB 792 Child Care Adult Immunization and Tuberculosis Requirements. Facility is following current Covid-19 guidelines.

This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records.
