On 1/17/23 , Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Andrew Alemoh conducted a subsequent complaint investigation for the purpose of concluding the investigation on the above allegation. LPA met with the Director Candice Butura. Upon arrival, LPA observed 40 preschoolers children present with director, assistant director and 6 staff members providing care and supervision. During this investigation LPA Alemoh conducted interviews with director, assistant director, children and other relevant complaint relevant parties. Based on the information obtained, on 10/28/22, director was at the classroom entrance while assistant director was bringing 6 children from the outdoor play area to the classroom. During the process, child #1 and child #2 stepped away from the group, walked to the hallway door and then proceeded to open two other doors that lead to the front of the facility. Child #1 and child #2 stepped out of the facility approximately 1 step from the main door for a short period of time before director brought them back inside. During the incident, director disclosed the incident happened very fast not allowing her to stop the children; however, she brought them back immediately. Based on the evidence obtained, the above allegation is unsubstantiated. An exit interview was conducted, a notice of site visit was provided along with the appeals rights.
