25 | On 04/25/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Adrian Risher conducted a 3 Year Required Inspection. LPA provided Licensee with the purpose of the visit and was granted access to the facility. LPA met with Carol Woods, Licensee. LPA toured the inside and outside of the property with the Licensee. LPA observed the home to be clean, safe, orderly and well ventilated. There were 6 children present at the time of the inspection. The operating hours are Monday thru Saturday 24 hours.
LPA observed the home to have a Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, 2 bedrooms, and 1 bathroom. The Licensee utilizes the living room, dining room, room 1 and the bathroom areas as the day-care. The rest of the home is inaccessible to the children. The living room is used for daily activities and napping. The dining room is used for eating. Room 1 is used as the infant's room. The children use cots and playpens for napping. The infant room is used as the isolation area.
Licensee states that there are no weapons in the home. Licensee reports there is 1 dog in the home. The dog is kept in the off-limit areas.
The kitchen and bathroom areas were inspected for proper storage of chemicals, detergents, cleaning compounds, medications and sharp pointed objects. These items were made inaccessible to children. LPA observed safety latches on the drawers in the bathroom. There is a safety gate at the entrance of the kitchen. Cleaning supplies are stored in a locked cabinet in the kitchen.
LPA observed electrical outlets with protective covers.
LPA observed operable smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors throughout the home which were tested during inspection. The home is equipped with 1 (2-A:10-B:C) Fire Extinguisher and First Aid kit which includes thermometer and band aids. The wall heater was properly screened. Portable air conditioners are located throughout the home. Licensee also uses fans to keep the home cool.
