25 | On 08/13/19, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Karren Starks and Lisa Rios made an announced visit for the purpose of conducting a Case Management inspection for an increase in capacity.
LPAs inspected the Infant area as listed on the facility sketch and observed age appropriate furniture and toys. The Director, Sade Williams arrived at 08:58am and took over the supervision of the Infant room.
LPAs inspected the bathroom that is located in the Infant area and found it to be operable with 1 toilet and 1 sink and a potty chair for toilet training.
The outdoor space was inspected and found to have age appropriate furniture and toys. A shaded area for rest and drinking water is brought out to the area when outdoors. A waiver is on file for usage with the preschool.
The Infant area is used for activities, active play and eating, LPAs observed high chairs and age appropriate furniture and toys for indoor active play. The kitchen was inspected with a area for the refrigerator for the infant formula storage. The required postings were also observed. The area measured 19.83 x 12.92 = 256.20 divided by 35 for a total capacity of 7.32 in this area. The front area that will be used for napping measured 12.42 x 17.92 = 222.56 divided 35 equals 6.35 Infants. LPAs observed a changing table within arms reach . The outdoor space measured 32.83 x 34.83 = 1143.46 divided by 75 equals 15.24 for a total of 15 children for outdoor usage at one time.
Based on the review of records and documentation the increase to 7 Infants is granted effective 08/13/19. LPAs reminded the Director that she must have qualified staff and operate within proper teacher/infant ratios at all times. Copy of Report and Notice of Site Visit issued. |
