25 | Licensing Program Analyst, V. Wheatley conducted a case management inspection and met with licensee Hilda Owusu at 10:30am. LPA observed Covid-19 at the front entrance on the door and a hand sanitizing station outside for the parents. The purpose of today's inspection is to inspect a new room addition (family room) added to the rear of the home.
LPA toured the day care premises and observed 6 children being supervised properly outside in the back yard. The children and staff are wearing face masks. The licensee has two assistants Staff #1 and Staff #2 working today.
LPA observed and inspected the new large room which also has a bathroom located inside of the room. The room is clean and safe. LPA observed electrical outlets covered and detergents inaccessible. LPA observed age appropriate toys and equipment. The room has central heating and air conditioning. The bathroom has two toilets, one sink and a shower. One toilet is small for children and one toilet is for adults. There are no unsafe items in the bathroom. The licensee is aware of the Safe Sleep law and policy.
LPA observed the backyard with a new play structure which is safe. LPA observed a swimming pool which is properly gated with a mesh fence and secure. The children do not use the pool. There are no pets on the premises. The room has been approved by the Fire department and L.A. City Building and Safety Department. The licensee is approved by CCL to utilize the room for the day care children. The licensee may continue to use the inside of the home (downstairs) as long as it remains safe.
