***This report was amended to update the allegations.***
On 11/08/2019, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Sabrina Martinez arrived at Morris Family Child Care Home located at 7028 6th Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90043, for the purpose of delivering the investigation findings for the above mentioned allegations. LPA met with Shaprae Morris, licensee, and discussed the purpose of the visit. LPA observed 10 children in care being supervised by 4 adults. LPA verified that all adults present have obtained criminal record clearances and are associated to the facility.
Based on LPA's observations, interviews conducted, documents obtained and other information obtained throughout the course of the investigation, the allegations that facility staff used inappropriate form of discipline, facility is operating over capacity and facility is operating over capacity are unsubstantiated. A finding that the complaint is unsubstantiated means that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the allegations occurred. An exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report along with the Notice of Site Visit were provided to Shaprae Morris, licensee.
Unsubstantiated
