32 | There is a block wall and Ivy (plant) over a chain linked fence along the left hand side of the playground. There is a block wall on the back side. There is a storage shed in the back left corner. The playground is divided into two by a chain linked fence. The playground is partially covered in asphalt and is in disrepair with cracks and wholes. There is no cushioning material and climbing structures. Outdoor play equipment was observed to be in disrepair.
Any construction or equipment that could pose a hazard in the outdoor activity area shall be made inaccessible to children in care. This shall include, but not be limited to, incinerators, air- conditioning equipment, water heaters, and fuse boxes.
There shall be at least 75 square feet per child of outdoor activity space based on the total licensed capacity.
Health Related Services:
Medications are kept in the office inaccessible to children. A refrigerator shall be used to store any medication that requires refrigeration. The licensee has a written plan to record the administration of prescription and nonprescription medications and to inform the child's authorized representative daily when such medications have been given.
Food Service:
Facility provides meals (outside providers) and snacks to children in care. All food shall be safe and of the quality and in the quantity necessary to meet the needs of the children. Each meal shall include, at a minimum, the amount of food components as specified by Title 7, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 226.20, (Revised January 1, 1990) Requirements for Meals, for the age group served. All food shall be selected, stored, prepared and served in a safe and healthful manner. All foods or beverages capable of supporting the rapid and progressive growth of microorganisms that can cause food infections or food intoxications shall be stored in covered containers at 45 degrees F (72 degrees C) or less.
LPA observed soaps, detergents, cleaning compounds or similar substances stored under kitchen sink with safety latch inaccessible to children.
