32 | The center implemented a policy regarding covid-19 testing. Parents were required to have the children tested weekly prior to returning to daycare. Director would provide a vendor who would come to the center to provide the test. If parents missed the test, then they could go to an off-site location to complete the requirement. Staff stated that if a parent disagrees with the policy then they are directed to speak with the Owner/Director. Staff try to address parent concerns or direct them to the owner. Children stated that staff and teachers do no scream at each other.
Staff stated that only the Director or Lead Teacher have access to confidential information. No one else has access to the confidential files. The files are locked in the main office. Director stated that court documents are requested for disputes between parents. Director will address any breaks in confidentiality, but she has not had any issues.
Staff stated that children bring backpacks, blankets, changes of clothes and diapers/wipes to the daycare. Children stated they leave their blankets at school. Parents notify staff if the child will not be returning to the daycare. Staff stated that the items are returned to the parent if the child is no longer enrolled.
Although the allegations may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the above alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegations of Personal Rights, are found to be unsubstantiated. Staff address concerns from parents and also advise them to speak with Director. Staff prevent access to confidential information by keep the files locked in the main office. Staff return all personal items to parents when the child is no longer enrolled. Based on interviews and observations, no evidence has shown that there is a personal rights.
Exit interview was conducted and a copy of the report was provided. Appeal rights were reviewed and provided.
