25 | An unannounced Required – 3 Year Inspection was conducted by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Katrina Chicote for the above facility. Facility is currently licensed for a capacity of eight infants. LPA announced purpose of visit and initially met with Alma Tatlonghari, Licensee, who allowed entry to facility. Per Licensee, they currently have two infants enrolled. LPA was taken on a guided tour of the facility of both indoors and outdoors. Required postings were observed at time of inspection.
At the initial start of the site visit, there is a total census of two infants and a total census of one teacher present. The facility is made up of three classrooms and outdoor play area.
Beginning at 11: 36 AM, furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and good repair. LPA observed surface of classrooms to be safe and clean and furniture for infants such as cribs for sleeping, high chairs for infant feeding, and table with infant insert seating available all well maintained. LPA observed a variety of infant appropriate toys available that encourage auditory, visual, and tactile simulation as well as manipulative toys that were well maintained at time of inspection. Telephone service, heating, lighting and ventilation were evaluated. There were cubbies observed as storage for infant's belongings. LPA observed two cribs in separate sleeping area that each had own fitted sheet, with sleep area free of loose parts, nothing hanging above crib, and no bumper pads being used. Per Licensee, linens are provided by the facility and blankets taken home weekly. Availability of drinking water was reviewed. LPA observed water cooler available for infants and infant having personal sippy cups. Age appropriate sinks and toilets were inspected for availability, good repair, water temperature, toilet paper, area safety and sanitation. LPA observed bathroom available and a diaper changing table in classroom that complies with Title 22 Regulation requirements and within arms reach of a sink at time of inspection.
Snack/lunch menus were reviewed and observed posted. Food and snacks were reviewed for availability, quantity and appropriateness to children in care. Food preparation areas were toured for safety, cleanliness and proper equipment. Report Continues - Page 1 of 3 |
