The Reporting Party and the Parent of Child 4 (C4) are reporting that C4 was put in the corner by his teacher for an unknown period of time and for unknown reasons. The incident occurred sometime in February and was not reported to Community Care Licensing Department until March 02, 2020. C4 has been attending the child care center for almost one year. The Parent of C4 stated that she started having problems with the Child Care Center in September 2019. Parent of C4 has been telling the facility Director about the issues that have risen since September and nothing has been done. C4 stopped attending the Child Care Center in April due to the grandmother being uncomfortable with C4 attending the Child Care Center during COVID-19. The parent of C4 is reporting that her child will not be returning to the Child Care Center.
On 03/10/2020, LPA Almanza toured the Child Care Center. LPA observed the Child Care Center to be clean, organized and free of any hazards to children. LPA observed children actively engaged in classroom activities and socializing freely with their peers and facility staff. LPA observed children actively participating, laughing, and smiling while interacting with the facility staff. Children spoke freely with LPA and did not disclose any information of concern.
Based on the evidence obtained over the course of the investigation, it was revealed that the parents and children do not have anything negative to report or concerns about the care and supervision that they are receiving at VAN NUYS EARLY EDUCATION CENTER PRESCHOOL. Although the allegations may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation(s) did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated.
