25 | Margarit Sislyan, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) arrived at CCRC Lokrantz Head Start facility to conduct a Required Annual inspection. LPA met with Marine Karaqulyan, Center Director and toured the facility inside and outside. Upon Arrival, LPA observed 35 children and 5 teachers were present. LPA observed proper care and supervision during the visit. All center staff are fingerprinted and associated to the licensed facility. The facility is located in the back of the Lokrantz elementary school premises utilizing 2 rooms. Facility hours of operation are 7:30am - 3:45m; Monday through Friday. There is no extended care offered.
LPA observed all posting requirements for operation on the posting board LIC 203A-License, LIC-9213-Notice of site visit, LIC 610 A-Emergency Disaster Plan, LIC 9148-Earthquake Preparedness Check List, PUB 394-Notification of parent’s rights poster, LIC 613A- Personal Rights, PUB 269- Child Car Seat Law, Menus.
Furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and good repair. Telephone service, heating, lighting and ventilation were evaluated. Napping equipment were observed to be clean and good condition. Storage for children's belongings, bathrooms facilities and isolation areas were inspected. Isolation area is located in the office. Availability of drinking water was observed with cups and pitcher. Electronic sign in /out were observed. Back up sign in /out were also observed. A review of medication policy, including administering, labeling, storage, and records was made. Documentation of current Fire & Earthquake drill was observed. IMS-PO was received and filed.
This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records.
