Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Garibyan conducted a Case Management visit for the purpose of a capacity increase evaluation. LPA met with Scott Bartholomew, licensee and toured the facility inside and outside on 08/16/2019 at 11:10 AM. Licensee is applying for a capacity increase from 99 to 115 children. No children were in care and staff were not present. Current facility license includes classrooms # 1, #,7, and # 19. All classrooms are part of the school operated under the LAUSD and available to the Peak Program from 1:30pm to 6: 00 PM Monday thru Friday; on Tuesdays from 1:30 PM to 6:00 PM. The school is exempt from usual activity space requirements per Title 22 Regulation 101538.3 as it "is located on a functioning public school site, the site is exempt from square-footage requirements for child care centers per Title 22, Section 101538.3(c)(1) and Health and Safety Code Section 1596.806(a)." Also the outdoor activity space per Title 22, Section 101538.2(c)(1) and Health and Safety Code Section 1596.806(b) is exempt from square footage requirements. There is a restroom in the classroom #1 with one sink, one toilet, and one urinal. The children also utilize the restrooms on campus, girls and boys have separate restrooms.
A staff restroom and isolation area is also available.

Capacity increase is pending Fire clearance only.


The facility is operating in substantial compliance with the Title 22 Regulations at time of visit.
No violations were cited. A copy of this report along with a Notice of Site Visit were issued and explained to licensee.
