25 | Margarit Sislyan, Licensing Program Analyst conducted tele-visit via Face-Time on 9/2/2021 and met with Licensee, Elvira Podzharaya. Licensee applied for increase of capacity. Licensee guided analyst on a tele-tour at the facility. LPA observed there were 6 children present at home along with Licensee and her assistant.
The following were discussed: No smoking, no infant walkers, Johnny jumpers, exersaucers or any other item that falls into that category. The LPA also discussed earthquake safety and necessity of drills, required forms for children’s files, facility files and posting requirements. Fingerprint clearance, transfer process and capacity / ratios. Regulation 102416.3 was explained and discussed with applicant.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Family Child Care Homes Section 102417. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. Per applicant, there are no weapons or firearms of any kind in the facility at this time. The LPA did not observe any weapons. There is a jacuzzi in the backyard. LPA observed jacuzzi was covered with hard cover and was locked from two sides. There are age appropriate toys and equipment on the premises. Applicant has provided proof of Preventative Health and Safety. CPR expires on 02/2023.
The required smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detector are in operable conditionNovel Corona virus (COVID-19) Los Angeles County Department of Public Health Guidance for Early Childhood Education Providers was discussed.
