25 | On 02/13/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Adrian Risher conducted a 3 Year Required Inspection. LPA provided Licensee with the purpose of the visit and was granted access to the facility. LPA met with Kristin Chamberlain, Licensee. LPA toured the inside and outside of the property with the Licensee. LPA observed the home to be clean, safe, orderly and well ventilated. There were 6 children present with 2 staff. The operating hours are Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm.
LPA observed the home to have a Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, 3 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms. The Licensee utilizes Bedroom 2, Bedroom 3, Bonus Room and 1 Bathroom areas as the day-care. The rest of the home is inaccessible to the children. Bedroom 2 is used for napping. Bedroom 3 is used for daily activities and eating. The Bonus Room is located in the backyard. It is used as an extra classroom for activities and playing. Bedroom 2 is used as the isolation area. The children use the bathroom that is located in Bedroom 3. The children use mats for napping.
Licensee states that there are no weapons in the home. Licensee reports that there are 2 cats in the home. The cats stay in the off-limit areas of the home when the children are present.
The kitchen and bathroom areas were inspected for proper storage of chemicals, detergents, cleaning compounds, medications and sharp pointed objects. These items were made inaccessible to children. Kitchen/bathroom drawers were made inaccessible to children in care. Cleaning supplies are stored in the hallway closet.
LPA observed electrical outlets with protective covers.
LPA observed operable smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors throughout the home. The home is equipped with 2 (2-A:10-B:C) Fire Extinguishers and First Aid kit which includes thermometer and band aids. The fireplace in the living room is properly screened. The home has central air and heat.
