This was Case Management inspection conducted on 12/8/2020 at 10:00 AM by Denise Gibbs, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA). Due to COVID-19 and precautionary measures, this Case Management Inspection was conducted with Delfina Cabrera, Licensee via a tele-inspection by use of WhatsApp for the purpose of a capacity increase.

Individuals residing in the home have been updated, discussed and noted. Licensee currently holds a small family child care license and is requesting a large family childcare home license. Per licensee, operation hours will be Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM-6:00PM. Licensee states that they will care for children Infants to school-age.

During this tele-inspection the license took LPA on a tour of the home. During this tour the following was noted:



All areas identified on the facility sketch were inspected, including but not limited to, off limit areas. This is a one-story home that consists of living room, kitchen, four bedrooms, one bathroom, front yard and backyard (fenced) and detached garage..

Main care areas include living room, one bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, and backyard.



Off limit areas include, three bedrooms made inaccessible with child safety knobs and detached garage made inaccessible using a locked gate. Licensee understands that licensing staff may have access to off-limit areas during inspection visit if necessary.

During inspection LPA observed that facility is implementing COVID-19 precautionary procedures. LPA observed drop off station at the front entrance of the home, screening materials for child and parents, visual aids for children and parents and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for children and adults.-------PAGE 1

Outdoor play area is located in the backyard. The outdoor play area has toys and age appropriate material for children. LPA observed that outdoor play area is fenced making the driveway and detached garage inaccessible.

Areas that will be used by children were inspected for safety, comfort, cleanliness. LPA observed operable telephone service, ventilation and heating. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children are made inaccessible in the kitchen using child safety locks and in the bathroom using child safety locks. Bathroom was observed to be free of hazards. Licensee states that there are no poisons in the home.



There are age appropriate toys and material available for children. Children will nap on cots in the living room and if more space is needed for social distancing they will also nap in the main care bedroom. LPA observed a crib and a pack and play in the main care bedroom free of hazards that are currently being used by two-year-old children.
Infant Care: Licensee states that they will care for infants but there are currently no infants in care. LPA informed licensee of the new Safe sleep regulation and provided PIN 20-24-CCP. LPA provided licensee with a copy of the Child Care Provider’s Guide to Safe Sleep, by American Academy of Pediatrics. Per licensee there are no pets on the premises, there are no firearms stored in the home and there are no bodies of water. LPA did not observe pets, firearms or bodies of water during inspection.



LPA observed that the licensee has a 2A10 BC fire extinguisher in the home, service date 5/2020. Smoke and carbon monoxide detector were tested and are operable.

The licensee has current Mandated Reporter Training, immunization's and Pediatric First Aid and CPR.

A large family childcare license will be granted upon Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Approval. Fire Clearance was approved on 11/25/2020.

Exit interview was conducted with Delfina Cabrera, licensee via tele-inspection by use of WhatsApp. This report along with a copy of the appeal rights will be sent to licensee via email with a read receipt or confirmation of email acting as the Licensee's signature. -----------------PAGE 2
