25 | On 10/22/2021 at 9:30AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Lillian Casillas and Judy Laureano conducted an announced a Case Management - Licensee Initiated inspection for the purpose of adding an additional classroom. LPAs observed 37 children with 5 staff.
LPAs met with Licensee, Zoila Norwood, who led LPAs on a a tour of the indoor and outdoor of the facility. The facility operates Monday to Friday from 7:30PM to 5:30PM. The classroom to be added was previously an office. Licensee described this additional classroom as D6. The addition will bring the total number of classrooms to 7.
LPAs inspected the additional classroom for health and safety compliance. LPAs did not observe hazardous conditions or concerns regarding the classroom. The classroom is equipped with a serviced fire extinguisher and fire alarm. LPAs observed age-appropriate furniture, educational materials, and toys. LPAs measured the classroom and it can accommodate a capacity of 9 children. Facility is not requesting changes to the existing capacity of 60 children. Per the Licensee, this additional classroom (D6) will be used to teach the 4 year olds for the dual purpose of accommodating children from classroom C5 and maintaining COVID-19 social distancing measures.

Total indoor capacity for the classroom X: 319.49 divided by 35 = 9 children
No deficiencies were observed during this inspection.
An exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report was provided to Licensee, Zoila Norwood, as well as a Notice of Site Visit. |
