25 | Licensing Program Analysts, V. Wheatley conducted a prelicensing inspection for a new license. LPA met with applicant, Sheela Deraniyagala and Dimanthi Deraniyagala The applicants are requesting 45 capacity (35 preschool and 10 toddlers). LPA toured and inspected the facility according to the facility sketch.
LPA inspected a total of three classrooms and a small area (library). Furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and good repair. LPA observed age appropriate toys and educational materials. The telephone service, heating, lighting, and ventilation is adequate. LPA observed two wall heaters which are properly screen and air conditioning. The electrical outlets are inaccessible. LPA observed cubbies for children's belongings and one first aid kit. LPA observed trash bins with lids. LPA observed cots for napping. The bedding will be brought by the parents and stored separately. The applicant and staff understands the bedding cannot touch another child's bedding.
This facility plans to provide Incidental Medical Services – IMS.
