25 | On 12/29/2021 at 11:30am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) V. Wheatley conducted an unannounced Required Annual Inspection for the infant license. LPA met with Administrator, Chandrika Peiris (Ms. Chani) and toured the entire facility. Days and hours of operation are Monday – Friday, 6:30am to 6:00pm.
There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises. LPA observed disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible.
Furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. Playground equipment is in safe condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. Floors in the facility are clean and safe.
All kitchen, food preparation and storage areas are clean, free of litter/rubbish and free of rodents/vermin. All food is protected against contamination and any contaminated food is discarded immediately. Solid waste storage containers have tight-fitting covers and are in good repair. Drinking water is available both indoors and outdoors.
LPA observed the following:
The center capacity was within the scope of the license
Care and supervision were observed, one qualified teacher and T.A. was observed caring for 6 infants. LPA observed cribs for the napping children. Napping infants were placed on their backs, no toys or hanging objects were observed. LPA observed blankets in the cribs however they are removed before infants nap. |
