25 | On 1/8/2025 Licensing Program Analysts (LPA), Suzette Ornelas conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection. LPA was met by Licensee, BELINDA NAVARRO who guided LPA on a tour of the home. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:30a-5:30p.
LPA toured the home inside and outside and a census was taken. LPA observed 3 day care children (2 which are infants) and 1 adult. Capacity as specified on the license is being maintained.
All areas identified on the facility sketch were inspected. Applicant's home is a single story dwelling with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, living/dining room, kitchen, and detached garage. There are no bodies of water in the facility. Child care is provided in the bedroom located to the right side of the home. The on limits restroom is located in the day care room. The off limit areas include the 2 bedrooms located on the left side of the home, restroom located in the hallway and the detached garage. Children walk through the living room and kitchen when accessing the on limits backyard play area. Licensee reports she has no firearms or weapons in the home. Home does not have a fireplace. Licensee has a pet cat which is kept away from the children during hours of operation by the use of a baby gate and closed doors.
The home was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children. The First Aid Kit was observed and complete. Per LIS the facility annual fees are current. The facility roster was observed, and current. There are age appropriate toys and napping equipment on the premises. The required fire extinguisher (2A-10BC) was serviced on 9/10/2024.Carbon monoxide detectors and smoke detectors are in operable condition and tested by licensee. Facility provides daily meals for the children. Licensee has posted as required the License, and all other required postings in a visible location. Per licensee, area near the restroom in the day care room will be used as the isolation area. |
