25 | On May 11, 2020 at 09:30 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Miriam Cohen conducted an announced Pre-Licensing Tele-inspection via FaceTime due to the COVID-19 pandemic shelter-in-place orders in the state of California.
The purpose of the meeting was to ensure that health, safety and personal rights as required by Title 22 Regulations governing California Family Child Care homes will be met by the Applicant, Tania Sajche. This is an application located at 1555 W. 59th Place, Los Angeles, CA 90047, for a Large Family Child Care Home with maximum capacity for 14 children – no more than three infants, one child in kindergarten or elementary school, and one child at least six years or older. The family childcare home will operate Monday thru Friday from 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM. LPA met with applicant, Tania Sajche, and was guided on a tour of the indoor and outdoor of the home. The home is a one-story dwelling with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. All the bedrooms are off limits and made inaccessible to the children in care by installing a latch on each door. Family members residing in the home consist of the following: applicants (husband and wife), two children (daughter, 10 years old and son, eight years old), and an adult male relative. All adults living in the home have submitted fingerprints and child abuse index check forms to Department of Justice and have received a criminal record clearance.
The main day care area shall be conducted in the living room for daytime activities and sleeping accommodation using mats. The bathroom (with toilet, sink, and tub) in the hallway is accessible to children in care. The kitchen is made inaccessible to children in care by installing a safety gate. Chemicals, cleaning supplies, and poisons are kept in the laundry room made inaccessible to children using a latch on the door. The backyard shall be used for outdoor activities.
