25 | On 7/20/2021 at 11am Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Clayton made an unannounced visit to the Perez Family Child Care home for the purpose of conducting a Required-1-year Annual visit. Upon arrival LPA was greeted by licensee Johana Perez. Also present during the inspection was the licensee’s fingerprint cleared father Miguel Guerrero Ruiz, and 6 children in care, including the licensees 1-year old daughter.
The following was observed:
Current roster
First Aid Kit with the required supplies; scissors, bandages; antibacterial ointments, thermometer and tweezers.
Facility files was reviewed and is up to date
Children were observed eating lunch in the childcare area of the home.
LPA toured the home inside and outside for a Health and Safety inspection. Current facility sketch was reviewed, and Licensee confirmed that the master bedroom /daycare area and 1 bath (located in the rear) of the home and the back yard are accessible to children in care. The living room is to be used as an isolation area. All other rooms (2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen) are off-limits and made inaccessible by use of locked doors and supervision. There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises. There are no firearms or ammunition on the premises. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible.
There is a fully charged 3A10BC fire extinguisher, working smoke detector/carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. There are no stairs in this home. Safe toys and play equipment are observed. The home has working telephone service and LPA confirmed the phone number is 323-304-6887.
