On 05/20/2022, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Sabrina Martinez arrived at Jackson and Jackson Family Child Care Home located at 5836 W. 74th St., Los Angeles, CA 90045, for the purpose of delivering the finding for the above-mentioned allegation. LPA met with Licensee Tenika Jackson and discussed the purpose of the visit. LPA observed 11 children in care.

On 03/03/2022, the Department received a complaint regarding daycare children are not getting their needs met. Reporting party is concerned about the children’s safety. On 03/08/2022, LPA conducted a visit at the facility and conducted interviews with Licensee and obtained the following documents: Child Care Facility Roster, Flow/Schedule of The Day, Weekly Newsletter, and Diaper Log. LPA also conducted interview with facility staff and day care parents. On 05/20/2022, LPA Martinez conducted a subsequent visit to interview additional children at the daycare.

Licensee stated they do several things to meet children’ needs such as offering breakfast, lunch, and snacks. Children are also offered milk during mealtimes and water throughout the day. The facility offers rest time/rest period between 12 noon until 2 PM. The facility offers several engaging activities such as weekly yoga and music class.

Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the above alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation of Personal Rights is found to be unsubstantiated. Based on interviews and observations, no evidence has shown that the Licensee has violated children’s personal rights.

Exit interview was conducted and a copy of the report, appeal rights, and Notice of Site Visit were provided
