32 | Beginning on January 1, 2018, Assembly Bill 1207 (2015) requires all licensed providers, applicants, directors and employees to complete training as specified on their mandated reporter duties and to renew their training every two years. Applicants must meet requirements as a precondition to licensure. New employees shall have 90 days from date of employment to complete training as required. The training may be conducted at the following website www.mandatedreporterca.com.
Prior to making alterations or additions to a family child care home or grounds, the licensee shall notify the Department of the proposed changed, including, but not limited to, the following: Conversion of a garage (either attached or detached) into a "child care" room; Room additions to the family child care home. Any change from an area of the family childcare home previously identified as "off limits" to an area where care and supervision will be provided to children in care. The licensee shall provide the Department with a copy of an inspection report when an inspection is required by the local building inspector as a result of the alteration, addition or construction.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) are not currently being provided. Licensee is aware that an IMS plan is required to be submitted to the licensing office if they provide any of these services. Licensee stated there is currently 1 infants in care. LPA discussed Safe Sleep Regulations with licensee. Which includes each infant in care should have their own crib or play yard. The cribs and play yards should be kept free from all loose articles and objects while infants are sleeping; and there should be no objects hanging above or attached to the crib or play yard. Infants should not be swaddle while in care. Licensee will physically check on sleeping infants every fifteen minutes and documents any signs of distress which includes but is not limited to flushed skin color, increase in body temperature, restlessness and labored breathing. Infants should be visually observed through an open door if sleeping in a separate room. Individual Infant Sleeping Plan is completed and placed in the file for each infant up to 12 months of age. Infants up to 12 months of age are placed on their backs for sleeping.
Licensee ensures that children in care are supervised at all times and is aware children shall not be left in parked vehicles. Car seats are used for transportation purposes only and are not used for sleeping children

As of 02/25/2022, this home is recommended for an increase of capacity. There are no deficiencies cited today. The report will remain on file for three years.
An exit interview was conducted, a copy of this report was read and provided to the Licensee. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. |
