On 08/27/2021 at 8:09 a.m. Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Deborah Lowe met with Owner Lena Haiek. The purpose of the visit was a second announce pre-licensing inspection at the facility to ensure that health, safety and personal rights as requires by Title 22 and Health and Safety Regulations governing California Child Care Centers will be met. No children were present during this inspection. This is an application for 68 children, ages 2 years to 6 years old. The child care center will operate Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. The fire clearance was approved on 07/16/2021.

The 1st pre-licensing visit was conducted on 8/17/2021. LPA Lowe is conducting a 2^nd pre-licensing visit to evaluate additional outdoor activity space applicant added after 8/17/2021.

Outdoor measurements taken on 8/17/2021 are as follows:

Outdoor area 1: located on side and back of building near the Lion/ Elephant

· Ramp area with artificial turf: (13.25 x 41.33) = 547.62

· Concrete area between artificial turf and cozy car area: (9.0 x 27.75) = 249.75 (area in front of stairs were not measured)

· Cozy Car area: (47.05 x 12.0) = 564.60

Total measurements for outdoor area 1: 547.62 + 249.75 + 564.60 = 1361.97

Outdoor area 2: located in back of building next to parking lot

· Cozy Car/ bike area: (15.25 x 24.05) = 366.76

· Play yard with sandbox and climbing structure: (9.17 x 23.67) = 217.05

Outdoor area 3: located in back of building next to parking lot

(26.42 x 19.67) = 519.68

Total Outdoor Activity Space: 1361.97 + 2278.27 + 519.68 = 4159.92 divided by 75 sq feet = 55 children in outdoor activity space.

The following corrections are needed before the application will be considered:

· Removal of metal bar on ground in outdoor activity space.

· Ensure bottom of temporary gate is inaccessible to children

An exit interview was conducted with the above items discussed and a copy of this report was provided to the Applicant. Final license determination will be made upon review by the Licensing Program Manager and correction of the above issues. Applicant to correct items by 8/30/2021.
