25 | On 4/14/2022 at 1:15PM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lsa Clayton conducted a Case Management - Licensee Initiated visit. This inspection is due to an application received for a capacity increase. LPA met with Licensee, Xiqian Luo and was guided on a tour of the facility. The facility intends to operate Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm., serving children ages 1 – 12 years old. Licensee provides lunch and snacks. All documents have been received for the increase of capacity application. The Licensee was reminded that an assistant is needed with a large family child care home license, and whenever an assistant is not present, the licensee will comply with the capacity requirements for a small family child care home.
This is a 3 bedroom, 2 ½ bathrooms home with living room, dining room, kitchen, back porch, sunroom and attached garage. The on-limits areas are as follows: the living room (daycare room), bathroom 3, bedroom 3 for napping and the sunroom (activities room). Bathrooms have locked drawers and cabinets. Showers are empty of household items. The living room has a screened fireplace inaccessible to children.
Adjacent to bedroom 3 is the sunroom set up for meals and activities and a back yard with fake turf and toys and equipment that is age appropriate for children in care. Both side of the house are gated off and made inaccessible to children in care.
There are no firearms or ammunition on the premises. All poisons are kept in a locked storage area. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible.
The home was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation. LPA observed age appropriate safe toys inside. Licensee advised; children will nap on cots. The facility has a smoke detector that was tested and operating. The Facility received a clearance from the LA City Fire Department on 03/22/2022 and has a pull station fire alarm near the front door.
