glass door. There is also a child safety lock on the fireplace door to prevent from being access by children. The home has central heating and air conditioning units.
Based on records review, fire/earthquake drills were last conducted on September 10, 2023, at 10:40 A.M. and is conducted once a month. The facility has a fully charge fire extinguisher with a 4-A:60-B:C classification (reading in green, checked at 3:38 P.M.)
LPA did not observed toys for children to use. According to licensee, she provides twelve sleeping mats for children to use.
Licensee has first aid kit box stored in a kitchen drawer. The smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector are in operable condition (checked at 4:21 P.M.). LPA observed electrical outlets are covered with a plastic plug to prevent access by children in care. LPA observed adult #1's (licensee's spouse) firearm is locked and is not loaded. Ammunitions were removed from firearms magazine. LPA also observed the firearm is stored in a safety vault in a closet inside the licensee's room. Per adult #1, he only has the key to the vault and closet. Per licensee, no one smoke in the facility.
Licensee is advised that baby bouncers, saucer chairs, or any recalled and or banned toys or sleep/ play equipment are prohibited on the premises. Licensee is advised to check for fixture, furniture and equipment that have been banned or recalled by the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Bathroom: Toilet, sink and faucet were clean and operable. During the inspection, LPA observed a step stool and trash bin with cover inside the bathroom. LPA did not observed razors and/or sharp objects, shampoos, mouthwash, medications, perfumes, air freshener, nail polish and nail remover that will pose a health and safety risk to children in care. LPA also observed a broken towel bar and licensee stated that she will reinstall the towel bar.
Currently, the licensee has zero children enrolled in the facility. Licensee stated that when a child shows signs of illness, he/she is separated from other children in the dining area of the facility. |
