25 | On 04/27/22, Licensing Program Analyst’s (LPA’s) Justeene Tamayo and Isabel Ortega conducted an unannounced case management inspection. The purpose of the inspection is to inspect the new location of the above ground swimming pool, and ensure the swimming pool fence meets Title 22 Regulations. Upon arrival LPA’s were greeted by licensee Susann Wingert and observed 1 children in care. Per licensee she will be reopening the day care approximately 05/02/2022. At this time, no children are currently enrolled.
LPA's observed a fence measuring over 5 feet high. Licensee plans to put a barrier around the fence to make the fence 6 feet high for precautionary reasons. The pool can only be accessed by going through the garage door (key locked). Per licensee, the door to the swimming pool is locked at all times and no children will be allowed in the garage. Licensee will also put an alarm on the garage door that can be accessed to the swimming pool(key locked) . The garage overhang door will be closed during hours of operation from 9AM-7PM. LPA's did not observe any toys or chairs that could be a climbing aid to children in care in the pool area. Prior to starting care, all of the debris will be removed and the back of the swimming pool will not be accessed.
The swimming pool meets Title 22 Regulations. The facility is in compliance and there are no deficiencies being cited on today’s inspection.
An exit interview was conducted and copy of this report along with Notice of Site Visit was provided to the licensee.
