25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA's) Neal met with the Administrator, Sandra Denkovski and Director Anais Femat for the purpose of conducting a pre-licensing inspection of the School Age center. During this Pre-Licensing inspection, LPA toured the facility according to facility sketch. Center is located at the Acton- Agua Dulce Unified School District. Facility will service children of ages 4.9 to 13 years old. Currently, the center consists of 1 modular (Room #122). Applicant is considering adding an additional modular (Room #123) and will notify the department when board approval documents have been submitted, the 2nd modular has furniture/supplies and is ready for use. Center will operate Monday through Friday 6:00am to 6:30pm.
LPA observed age appropriate furniture. The classroom was observed to be clean, safe and free of any health and safety hazards. Telephone service was verified as well as adequate heating, lighting, and ventilation. There will be a space for children's belongings. Medications will be stored in a lock box. Tables and chairs were observed to be in good condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. There are moveable bins for solid waste kept in good repair.
Per Title 22, Section 101538.2(c)(1) and Health and Safety Code Section 1596.806 regulations, activity space is located on a functioning public school site, therefore, the site is exempt from square-footage, toilet, isolation space, outdoor activity space and fencing requirements for child care centers.
Applicant was reminded that capacity and ratio must comply with specified regulations. |
