25 | On 06/08/2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Andrew Alemoh and met with the facility Director, Sarah Mitchell for the One Year Required inspection for the school age license in accordance with the facility sketch. A tour of the facility was conducted. Upon arrival LPA observed 10 school age children and 1 teacher on the premises, along with the Director providing care and supervision. The hours of operation are 6:30AM - 6:30PM Monday - Friday. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) were discussed.
Indoor/Children’s Area:
School Age RM: LPA observed 10 children, one staff and director providing care and supervision to children. There are two sinks for hand washing with soap and paper towels for drying. Cabinets by the sinks contain arts and crafts supplies as well as supplies for staff. Cubbies for children to place their belongings with their names. Learning materials were observed with books and supplies available for children. Medical bag is posted by the entrance w/ supplies readily available. Sign in and out sheets were observed in the classroom. Children's bathroom is located on the right side of the classroom. LPA observed 1 toilet and 1 sink with soap and paper towels for drying.
Child care center is clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair; all outdoor and indoor passageways, stair ways, incline, ramps, open porches and other areas of potential hazard are kept free of obstruction; floors of all rooms have a surface that is safe and clean, cleaning compounds inaccessible, poisons locked, furniture/equipment is good condition, free of flies, other insects, rodents; tables/chairs provided to meet children’s needs; all play equipment and materials used by children are age-appropriate, each child has an individual permanent or portable storage space (cubby, individually labelled with name) for his/her clothing, personal belongings and or bedding (stored separately). There is a working telephone.
