25 | A Case Management-licensee initiated inspection was conducted today by Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Jacqueline Martinez and Lisette Gonzalez for the purpose of measuring Room 26 to increase the capacity of the Toddler Component . The facility is requesting to increase the Toddler Capacity from 36 to 40 and decrease the Preschool Capacity from 136 to 128. This change in capacity will not change the total approved capacity of 168 (40+128= 168). Room 26, will host 16 Toddlers.
LPAs met with Rosie Ducoing, Director who provided a tour of the facility to take a census of the children present.
The current Toddler and Preschool program now operates from 6:30am to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday. Room 25, 26, 29 and 30 are the Toddlers Rooms and Rooms 27, 28, 31 and 32 are the Preschool Rooms.
Children are signed in at the entrance of each classroom. Food is provided by the School District Cafeteria. Breakfast, lunch and a PM snack is provided.
Indoor water for children to drink freely is provided via a water jug. A carbon monoxide and smoke detector were present. Firs Aid kit was observed to be complete. Ill isolation area is in the quiet area of the room.
LPA observed cots for children to sleep during the full day program LPA requested to see enough cots (16) for Room 26.. Children will be taking sheets/blankets home every Friday to wash.
