Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Justin Dorsey conducted an unannounced Annual Inspection. LPA met with Luissana Cano, Site Supervisor, who assisted LPA on a tour of the facility. During the inspection there were 25 children present in six classrooms (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2). The classrooms are paired by letter and each share a kitchen, restroom and a playground.

LPA inspected all areas identified on the Facility Sketch. The following staff were observed in each classroom during this visit: A1: Staff #1, Staff #2 and Staff #3 with 4 infants; A2: Staff #4 and Staff #5 with 2 infants; B1: Staff #6 with 0 toddlers; B2: Staff #7 and Staff #8 with 8 toddlers; C1: Staff #9 and Staff #10 with 2 toddlers and C2: Staff #11 and Staff #12 with 4 toddlers. Students have access to the classrooms, restrooms, free mix area (used for inclement weather) and outdoor play area. The facility does not provide transportation, children are dropped off and picked up by their parents. Furniture and equipment are safe and in good repair. There is telephone service in each classroom, heating, lighting and ventilation available at the facility. The main office has been designated as the isolation room and the lobby restroom has been designated for use of ill children.

Drinking water is available indoors and outdoors. Restrooms used were inspected for availability, good repair, water temperature, toilet paper, area safety and sanitation.

The central kitchen (used for food preparation) is inaccessible to children and behind a closed door. The facility provides breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack. Menus were posted in each of the classrooms kitchens. Snacks were reviewed for availability, quantity and appropriateness to children in care. Poisons are locked in a cabinet (under the kitchen sinks). Cleaning compounds and sharp items are inaccessible. Containers used to discard food have tight fitting lids at this time.
