25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Warren Birks conducted an unannounced Required - 3 Year inspection. LPA met with Licensee Ramona Viramontes who guided LPA on a tour of the facility. Upon arrival, LPA observed Licensee providing care for three children (two preschool and one infant) at this time. A cleared assistant arrived approximately 15 minutes later. Per Licensee there are 14 children enrolled attending at various times. Individuals residing in the home were noted. The children's roster is current.
At Approximately 9:50am This is a one-story home which consists of three bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room with a fireplace that is fenced off, garage, front yard and backyard (fenced). The children use the bathroom (next to the kitchen and kids room), living room, dining room, the garage and backyard. Per licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include: One bedrooms, master bathroom and front yard is also off-limits.
Areas accessible to children were inspected to ensure that they are clean and orderly with ventilation and heating for the safety of the children. There is a working telephone maintained in the home. Licensee has three small dogs. LPA advised Licensee to provide extra care and supervision as pets may be unpredictable. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other items which can pose a danger to children are inaccessible. LPA reminded Licensee to provide extra care and supervision for outdoor play. Licensee was also reminded to ensure that all medicines, chemicals, cleaners, paints, sharp objects, grills, propane, and similar hazardous items must be inaccessible at all times. Poisons must also be locked with a key or combination lock.
Fire arms and pool regulations were discussed. Per Licensee there are no bodies of water and LPA did not observe any on the premises. The License, Parents Rights Poster, and Earthquake Preparedness was posted. The valve on the required 2A 10BC fire extinguisher indicates fully charged and is due for service in November 2024. Smoke and carbon monoxide detectors dining room were tested and are in operable. |
