This is a one story, two-bedroom, 1 bathroom home with kitchen, dining room, living room, office (napping room), and detached garage. Per licensee the garage is used for storage only and no child care activities are conducted there. In the homes backyard is a detached building where main care is provided, the back building includes a main care area, kitchen/dining room and a bathroom.
The following areas are used for daycare. Main care is provided in the homes back building. Per Licensee the only time that children enter the home is to nap. Per Licensee the children use the bathrooms in the home (when napping) and the back building. LPA inspected the the bathrooms in the home and the back building to observe that there were no potential or immediate risks to children in care. All detergents/cleaning compounds are inaccessible to children. Off limit areas include all the home's bedrooms (doors are closed), kitchen, dining room, and the garage. The home was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents/cleaning compounds, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children. Facility roster complete and maintained current. Children nap in the homes office that was converted into a nap room. LPA observed mats for children to nap on which where packed and stored away. LPA observed perimeter fencing, and backyard is free of miscellaneous debris/hazards. All trees, shrubs and plants are maintained.
On 12/11/19 based on interview LPA Dorsey found that the facility did not have proof of last completed earthquake or fire drill. Per Licensee the home does the drills weekly but does not keep a log of the drills.
