On October 21, 2022 at 9:00am, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Dayna Chambers and Susann Sanchez conducted a Case Management inspection. LPA met with Licensees, Marbelly Valladares, Marlene Orellana, The purpose of today's to explain the Infant Safe Sleep regulations. There were 3 children present upon arrival and 1 child arrived during inspection. Also present was licensees husband who is a cleared adult.
LPA Sanchez and LPA Chambers printed reviewed Title 22, Divion 12 Chapter 1 Article 06. Continuing Requirements 102425 Infant Safe Sleep, PIN 20-24 and LIC 9227. Obtained Declarations from the licensees stating they understood the safe sleep as of October 21, 2022. Per Licensees, Marbelly Valladares and Marlene Orellana now understand the new infant safe sleep regulations that came out in 09/2020. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensees of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.
LPA advised the licensee how to access forms, regulations and quarterly updates on line at: www.ccld.ca.gov
The Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) – must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative.
