25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Ashley Calderon conducted unannounced random /annual inspection visit. LPA met with Angela Ennis / Licensee. LPA discussed the purpose of today's visit. LPA provided Entrance Checklist and Licensee guided analyst on a tour of the facility.
Also present was Licensees' Assistant staff #1 There were 4 children present during inspection, no infants observed. Facility capacity is in compliance for a Large Family Child Care Home. Per Licensee, hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 6:30 pm. Licensee cares for children 0 to 13 years of age.
This is a one-story home which consists o:f 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, den/ day-care room, living room, garage with bathroom, backyard, and front yard. The children use: the bathroom near the den, den area, kitchen/dining room, and backyard. Per Licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include: all bedrooms, one bathroom, living room, front yard, garage with attached bathroom.
All areas identified on the facility sketch that children use, were inspected for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, ventilation and heating (central). The following was observed and reviewed during this inspection:
Kitchen was inspected: knives were placed in high cabinets, inaccessible to children. Chemicals are stored under kitchen sink cabinet, safety latch is in place. The licensee provides food for children in care. LPA reminded Licensee if children bring food from home to store food properly/ refrigerate and ensure food is properly labeled with child's name.
LPA reviewed required posted documentation for Facility License, Publication (PUB) 394- Notification of Parent Rights and Licensing Form (LIC) 9148- Earthquake Preparedness form. LPA reviewed Disaster/ Fire Drill log and the last drill conducted was 07/08/24. (page 1 / cont...) |
