25 | On December 6, 2019 at 9:15AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Dayna Chambers conducted an unannounced annual inspection. LPA met with Diane Peyton, Site Director, who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. This is a preschool program, children ages 2 until age 5. Facility operation hours are Monday to Friday from 6:45 AM to 6:00 PM.
Upon arrival, the following staff were present during the inspection: 4 classrooms: #1 Sunny Smiles, total 16 children enrolled, 9 present today with 2 teachers, #2 Blue Skies, total 16 children enrolled, 9 present today one teacher and one assistant, #3 Children's Place, total 16 children enrolled, 14 present today and two teachers present, #4 Green Trees, total 16 children enrolled, 8 present today with one teacher and one assistant. All areas identified on this report were inspected. Teacher-child ratios were observed to be in accordance with Title 22 Regulations. All children were observed to be under visual supervision of a teacher at all times.
The following was observed during the tour of the facility:
Furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and good repair, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Telephone service, heating, lighting and ventilation were evaluated. Children have their own cubby to store their belongings. Linens are washed by the facility weekly. Napping equipment (cots) were observed in separate storage areas. Per Director, the isolation area is located in the office. Age appropriate sinks and toilets were inspected for availability and good repair in all restrooms. General sanitation was observed. Availability of indoor drinking water was observed in classrooms with an igloo dispenser.
