25 | On 06/22/2021 at 10:34 am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jose Guzman conducted an unannounced required inspection. LPA met with Assistant, Natalie Mentado during today’s inspection. Assistant informed LPA that Licensee would arrive shortly. Licensee Maria Enciso arrived at 10:51 am with 3 children to complete the inspection. There were 11 children present, 3 being infants. Licensee states that there are currently 13 children enrolled. The children's roster was reviewed and is current. Disaster drill log was also available during today’s inspection.
This is a one-story home which consists of 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Areas used by the children include the living room, dining area, kitchen, family/day-care room, and front yard. Per Licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include 3 bedrooms, bathroom located in Licensee's bedroom, bathroom located in hallway, hallway, and back yard where there is a swimming pool.
Areas accessible to children were inspected to ensure that they are clean and orderly with ventilation and heating for the safety of the children. Family members residing in the home are 3 adults (criminal record clearances on file) and 2 children. There is a working telephone maintained in the home. There are no pets in the home. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other items which can pose a danger to children are inaccessible. Poisons are locked, as required. The Licensee does understand that poison must be locked with a key or combination lock.
Per Licensee, there are no weapons or firearms on the premises. LPA observed a swimming pool surrounded by a locked metal gate measuring 5ft in height located in the back yard. There are safe toys, play equipment and materials observed for children. Emergency Disaster Plan was posted at the time of inspection. Children’s records (5 records) were reviewed to ensure that each child has an Identification and Emergency form. The valve on the required 2A 10BC fire extinguisher indicates fully charged serviced 06/22/21. Carbon monoxide detector in the hallway was tested and is in operable condition. Per Licensee, smoke detector is connected to the fire department and testing would trigger a response from the fire department. The Licensee and Assistant have current Pediatric First Aid and CPR, which will expire on 06/2023 and 08/10/2021. Page 1 of 3 |
