25 | On 11/3/2023, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Carolyn Tuba and Staciy Perry conducted an unannounced Case Management Lead Exceedance inspection. A COVID 19 risk assessment was conducted. LPAs met with Assistant Director, Olivia Castillo. Assistant Director guided LPA, Perry who observed 29 children and 5 staff present at the facility during this inspection.
The purpose of today's inspection is to go over the water lead test results received on 10/26/2023. Results indicate that fixture “E” sink faucet water source in Preschool Classroom #7 had a lead exceedance of 6.2 which exceed the regulation of 5.5 or less parts per billion. During the visit, LPAs learned that the faucet and the J-shape pipe was replaced. LPAs obtained the current results of the retesting of fixture “E” sink faucet water source that show that there is no longer a lead exceedance and have been provided copies. LPA, Perry took photos of the fixture “E” sink faucet water source. LPA, Tuba received all documentation, including facility sketch, LIC9276, LIC9275, photos and test results from Assistant Director on a prior visit, 10/26/2023.
LPAs advised Assistant Director that lead testing results must be posted outside for parents to view until the next testing is conducted every 5 years from the date of the initial test. Assistant Director stated that results have been posted on the Parent Board in the hallway of the facility.
