25 | REQUIRED INSPECTION CONDUCTED IN ENGLISH
A required inspection was conducted by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Timothy Fields. LPA was guided on a tour of the facility by licensee Sheila Hall. This is a single story home with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Residing in the home is one adult and no children. Upon arrival LPA observed two day care children watching television in the converted garage. LPA reminded licensee there is no eating or sleeping permitted in the converted garage.
Along with the converted garage, the adjacent dining space is where care is mainly provided. The kitchen is off limits to children, as well as all three bedrooms and master bath. Children use the bathroom located in the hallway. The living room is only access through passing. Children are taken to the local park for outdoor activity space. There were no accessible detached sheds or wall heater in the home. Licensee has pet fish stationed in the converted garage. There were no dogs or cats on the premises. Licensee has a barricaded fireplace in the living room.
All rooms that are off-limits need to be made inaccessible during operating hours. Storage areas for poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and other items which pose a danger to children were observed to be inaccessible to children in care. LPA observed the home to be kept clean and orderly, with heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. Capacity and ratio was observed to be in compliance. Licensee complied with inspection authority.
Per licensee there are no weapons or firearms in the home. Telephone service was in operable condition. There is a spa on the premises. The water has been drained and it is properly covered. The backyard is adequately fenced. There are age appropriate toys and equipment on the premises. The smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detector, and fire extinguisher (2A 10BC) are in operable condition. |
