Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Bardo Baluyot conducted an unannounced annual inspection on this date. LPA met with Director, JoAnn Cendejas and was guided on a tour of the facility by the director. There were 19 children present with three staff.

LPA toured the areas according to the facility sketch on file. Preschool uses the two "houses" as the preschool classrooms located on the facility property. The "Roo's" classroom is used as the 2 year olds room and the "Pooh's" classroom is used for the 3 & 4 year olds. Furniture and equipment were inspected for age appropriateness and good repair. Telephone service, heating, lighting and ventilation were evaluated. Children have their own cubby to store their belongings. Linens are taken home each week to be washed. Napping equipment (cots) were observed in good condition. Children's restrooms were inspected and found to be in good condition and with necessary supplies. Drinking water is available via a water dispenser and children use their personal water bottles that can be refilled as needed. The ill isolation area is in the director's office where a cot is available for child to rest. Staff restroom is also located in this area. LPA tested the combination smoke/carbon dioxide detector and found it to be operational.

The outdoor equipment was inspected for safety, cushioning material, good repair and age appropriateness. Required shade and fencing were inspected. Outdoor play yard has water via water fountain that the children can use to refill personal water bottles if needed.

Children's bring their own lunches and snacks which are kept in their individual cubbies. Per Director, facility used to provide two snacks per day pre pandemic, but no longer do as a precautionary measure to avoid possible COVID-19 exposure/contamination.

LPA reviewed children and staff files and found them to be complete. Sign in and out sheets were reviewed and found to be accurate.

Teacher child ratios were observed to be in compliance. Care and supervision was evaluated to determine if the basic needs of children are met. All children are adequately supervised.

Currently there are no children who require IMS or medication services. Medication is kept in a cabinet out of reach of children.

Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. The following information regarding ADA was provided: US Department of Justice (USDOJ) toll-free ADA Information Line at (800) 514-0301 (voice)/ (800) 514-0383 (TTY) and link to publication: Commonly Asked Questions about Child Care Centers and the ADA, available at: http://www.ada.gov/childqanda.htm
